Klein’s media studies major offers three concentrations through which students can further refine their degree and focus on one specific area of media studies and production based on their career goals. 

All three concentrations offer students opportunities to study alongside Klein’s world-class faculty members and participate in real-world, hands-on learning on campus and in Philadelphia.  

Media Analysis 

Learn about the role of media in contemporary and evolving societies by studying its role and impact. Students in the media analysis concentration form critical thinking, analysis and writing skills while preparing to pursue professional careers as editorial or technical writers, market research analysts, media consultants, media scholars and more.

Media Business

Discover how leaders in media manage and direct companies as well as understand the business analysis and decision-making critical to thriving in the media landscape. The curriculum focuses on the skills necessary to become entrepreneurs, network executives, talent agents, program developers, executive producers or founders/owners of a digital channel or production company.

Media Production

Study the tools necessary for media production and creating content in traditional and emerging media. You will learn the process from preproduction through postproduction while preparing to become a producer, writer, videographer, editor, recording engineer and website designer.
